Another Superior Herington Product
No I do not work for the Herington company or have ny connections with same. I just appreciate quality. The 400 GSM might be warm enough when the bed is shared by another person. Or if you live in a warmer climate. I have this blanket and find that I must use an additional blanket. I sleep alone and live in Minnesota. I just ordered the 500 GSM on back order and will transfer my 400 GSM blanket to my guest room. This is a well constructed, quality product that looks good and has no odor. I also own the wool mattress cover which I love. It aso has no odor unlike the smelly Snuggle Fleece product that I was forced to return. When you think of Australia don't you think wool? Exceptional product!
I have spent hours trying to find a washable wool comforter. Most of the ones I found were either of a lighter weight than this one or else required dry cleaning, which I don't like due to the harsh chemicals. In addition, many of the alternatives were more expensive and interestingly, were poorly designed in that the wool filling was simply stuffed into the cover and not stitched into segments, thereby making it impossible to wash without clumping. This comforter states that a heavy duty washing machine is required for laundering, however I inadvertently put it into our regular front loading machine (thinking that it was the old down duvet I was replacing) and it turned out beautifully. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality, comfort and ease of care of this wonderful product and highly recommend it to anyone - down allergies or none! I suppose the only thing one might miss is the airy lightness of goose down as that is hard to replicate, but this comforter is light, warm and...
