Worked like a charm this winter
I'm freaky about electromagnetic radiation, especially when it comes to my growing kids.
So, they don't have any A/C devices anywhere near them when they sleep. Yeah, call me nuts, I don't care. Unless it runs on battery, it's not within 3 feet of my kids when they sleep.
However, it gets cold in our house in the winter, and they were using tons of blankets to keep warm (despite keeping the thermostat at 68), and since I had bought the throw from this this company the year before, I looked at the heated mattress pads.
It converts the not-so-safe a/c current to much safer d/c current to warm without frying them.
After an entire winter's worth of use, they made it through with fewer colds (lowered body temps=greater susceptibility to viruses/bacteria), and better sleep. I'm considering a king sized version for the grownups this winter.
